This article is supposed to let the users know that “How to Reset Windows 10 PC”.If your PC/computer/Laptop isn’t running the way it should (lagging,virus attack,apps not responding,Blue screening etc), you’re getting strange errors or you just want to return it to its default state (the previous state same as when you bought your PC), then I will show you in brief and sufficient way that how to to that. Here’s how to reset your PC in Windows 10.Following are the steps to be followed..

STEB BY STEP GUIDE

1.First of all Click on the Windows Icon at the corner (left below of your screen) and navigate to the Settings Option as shown below.1_Reset2.Now click on the Update & security“.2_Reset

3.Now in “Update & security” window select for Recovery option . Now you will see the two options Reset this PC & Advanced startup.Choose the first option of Reset this PC (Get Started),following window will come.3_Reset 4_Reset


 

Keep my files

This Option removes your Apps,Settings but keeps your personal files safe.You have to again update the important windows updates.This process do not take much time , only 15-30 min as only apps and setting are removed,not the entire drive files.

1. This will Reinstall Windows 10 and keeps your personal files.
2. This will Remove apps and drivers you installed.
3. This will Remove changes you made to settings.
4. This will Remove any apps your PC manufacturer installed. (If your PC came with Windows 10, apps from your PC manufacturer will be reinstalled.)

Remove everything

This option removes all of your personal files,apps and settings (fully clean the drive).If you’re planning to donate, recycle, or sell your PC, use this option and choose to fully clean the drive. This process will take more time (2-3 hrs depends on your PC specs) , but after complete reset your PC will look like as when you bought it,but you have to update it again.

1. This will Reinstall Windows 10 and removes your personal files.
2. This will Remove apps and drivers you installed.
3. This will Remove changes you made to settings.
4. This will Remove any apps your PC manufacturer installed. (If your PC came with Windows 10, apps from your PC manufacturer will be reinstalled.)

Restore factory settings

This Option removes your personal files , apps , settings and reinstall the version of windows that came on your PC when you bought it.This is just like recycling of your PC.If you had windows 8 when you bought your PC , then you have to update it to 8.1 and then to 10 again if you choose this option,but i’m sure your PC will look you a lot faster and newer.

1. This will Reinstall the version of Windows that your PC came with (either Windows 8 or Windows 8.1) and removes your personal files.
2. This will Remove apps and drivers you installed.
3. This will Remove changes you made to settings.
4. This will Reinstall any apps your PC manufacturer installed on your PC.


 

4.Now after choosing any one option according to your privileges,you are ready to go.Your PC will Restart again and work as you chose the option above.If it asks for filling details like PC name ,microsoft account etc then fill as you want according to you. Hence Reseting Done..!!! Very Easy. 🙂
